That Which We Call a Swedish Fish, By Any Other Word Would Taste As Sweet
I'm not sure what started me thinking about Swedish Fish this morning, but I do know that it has been a long time since I've had one. I was never really a huge fan of candy when I was a kid (Mom had the gall to suggest things like sliced apples for snacks), but I do remember how much I loved Swedish Fish. When I was handing out chocolates on V-day, I only hoped for some swedish fish (and perhaps 15 minutes at the back of the movie theater on Friday night) in return. Good times.

This reminds me of an article I once read where Japanese marketing companies would listen to the 'sound' of English words, and choose the words they thought 'sounded' good for product names that they intended to export to the States. One of the names had to do with a slang term we have for having to go to potty. 'Warm Pi.." - Not a very good choice for a soft drink!
I never tried it.But I will try it.Thanks for giving the information about it.
